EuroTrip Day Nine
It’s my last day. I suppose technically tomorrow is the last day but since that will be spent traveling I think today is the last day.
We got up this morning and headed to Soho for breakfast. There is a John Hughes themed restaurant called The Breakfast Club that sounded fun. Unfortunately a lot of people agreed. People were lined up around the corner to get in so we went a little further down to Toi & Moi which was a cute little place. They also had a perfect photo backdrop so we took some photos after breakfast.
Chrissy really wanted to go back to Trafalgar Square and we decided to walk it. Slowly of course.
it was a nice walk. From Soho to Chinatown to Leicester Square to Trafalgar Square and back again. Stopping for lots of shopping along the way.
No river cruise - turns out our tickets expired yesterday. Oh well. I think we had fun without it.
Jana left a few hours ago. And then the three of us walked to a nearby pub for dinner and a pint. I don’t like beer but I sort of feel the need to drink a pint when I’m at a pub in England.
Injury aside, this trip has been everything I had hoped it would be. I had a fantastic time seeing Scotland and England with Magan and Darrell. Its not every day you get to be a world traveler with one of your best friends. And man, I really needed a break from life.
And then seeing my girls. How lucky am I that I have 3 wonderful girls that traveled from Germany to spend a weekend with me? I adore them all so much and I’m so grateful to have had an opportunity to see them and hug them again. I already miss them and look forward to the next time.
But I am looking forward to being home. While a longer vacation would be nice, I do miss my boys. And Rob. I look forward to seeing them all again soon.
